'Moving Over', part of the Interstice Series by Colorado Contemporary Encaustic Artist, Susan M. Gibbons

Image
'Moving Over' Encaustic on Cradled Board 12" x 48" x 1.5" $1000 Another painting in the Interstice Series, this work plays with the morphing of edges.  Moving from black to white, the hard and diffused edges allow the viewer to 'move over' the piece from right to left or left to right.  Utilizing the definition of interstice - the space in between - the painting allows for different perceptions; are the spaces in between black or white?  Warm and cool hues are presented within the acromatic bands once again accentuating the contrast.   For purchase information, please contact me at smgibbonsfineartist@gmail.com To see more of my work, please visti my website at http://www.susanmgibbons.com
