This painting was inspired by the verse in Psalm 30 which speaks of enduring sadness for a night but joy coming in the morning.  The deep and lighter hues of blues are separated by a thin band of gold, hence the painting's title.  The vairying colors are a result of the mixture of gold and blue.  This piece is available through Royal Contemporary Gallery in Florence, CO.
