This piece is based on a poem written during a collaborative effort with Denver poet, Wayne A. Gilbert titled, Tears From Later In Life.  This work features several layers of subtle colors within the encaustic (bees wax, damar resin crystals, and pigment).  The texure of the surface is accentuated with blue, green, and specs of red.
